What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop back-end services for the product portfolio using Ruby, Docker, Amazon Web Services, and PostgreSQL
- Collaborate with business and technical teams in an Agile framework to ensure well-designed technical systems
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing while documenting software best practices
- Engage in continuous learning of new tools and languages to enhance development skills
- Mentor junior team members as the organization and team evolve
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience with Java
- At least 4+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services technologies, with ECS/EKS experience being a significant plus
- 7+ years of experience practicing Test-driven Development (TDD)
- 7+ years of experience building Restful APIs and consuming 3rd party APIs
- Proven ability to interpret and refine goals into relevant requirements, successfully delivering large-scale projects from concept to production
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Familiarity with Docker and PostgreSQL
- Background in mentoring or training junior developers
- Involvement in the development of large-scale applications
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
