What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with a globally distributed team of system and kernel developers
- Research and identify emerging issues in macOS and provide appropriate responses
- Work closely with Product, Support, Sales, R&D, and Quality Assurance teams
- Respond to field events, root cause them, and issue patches as needed
- Participate in design decisions for improving agent architecture and developing new features
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 4+ years of software development experience, specifically on macOS
- Strong proficiency in coding with Objective-C
- Understanding of macOS user space and internals
- Experience in systematically root-causing complex OS systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience developing OS drivers and system extensions
- Background in managing escalations or issues requiring coordinated efforts
- Familiarity with system performance analysis and mitigations
- Cybersecurity experience or exposure to macOS endpoint security platforms
- Experience with large-scale event processing systems
