What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the senior site lead across multiple remote sites or office locations
- Monitor assigned tasks and provide support and guidance to GIS Analysts
- Anticipate problems and develop solutions while managing team duties
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive written and oral reports to management personnel
- Ensure tasks are completed within set timeframes and budget constraints
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of six years of experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including two years in a supervisory role
- Expertise in generating complex, multi-layered maps and conducting intricate geospatial analyses
- Familiarity with GIS and GPS concepts, as well as relational database fundamentals
- Experience with imagery collection, processing, analysis, and exploitation
- Bachelor's degree plus eight years of experience or a Master's degree plus six years of experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in the development of GIS applications
- Strong ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users both orally and in writing
- Proven track record of effective team leadership and project management
