Additionally, we help international participants from over 140 countries come to the USA each year. - Conduct in-depth research on a broad range of topics aligned with the President’s strategic priorities, collaborating across departments to gather relevant insights and data.
- Assist in developing high-quality materials, including white papers, memos, presentations, talking points, and other content, for both internal and external audiences, leveraging traditional research methods and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude).
- Track trends and developments across social media, international exchange, higher education, and the nonprofit sector; recommend strategies to enhance visibility and engagement. Create or curate compelling content to support key initiatives.
- Provide additional writing and administrative support to the President’s Office as needed.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university in political science, communications, public policy, international relations, or a related field.
- Proven writing and research abilities, with samples or a portfolio available upon request.
- Skilled in social media strategy, including platform-specific best practices and tone management; comfortable using AI tools for content creation and research synthesis.
- Strong critical thinking, fact-checking, and analytical skills. Demonstrates initiative, communicates effectively, and handles sensitive information with discretion.
- Experience with tools such as ChatGPT, Notion AI, Perplexity, or similar.
- Knowledge of citation formats (APA, MLA, Chicago).
- Familiarity with International Exchange, higher education, international education, or nonprofit policy landscapes.
- Experience managing or curating professional social media accounts (e.g., LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook).

Location: Remote
Internship Type: Part-time, 15-20 hours/week (flexible with consideration of class schedule).
Compensation: $20.00/hr.
Duration: 2025 Summer and 2026 Fall Semesters

The President’s Office at CIEE is seeking highly motivated and intellectually curious social media college interns with strong research and writing skills, particularly in synthesizing information and drafting white papers using artificial intelligence (AI) tools. The interns must also be savvy with social media and will play a key role in helping elevate the President’s messaging across digital platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in International Exchange, public policy, higher education, nonprofit leadership, or strategic communications.
