What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with a dedicated scrum team to build the backend infrastructure for the PlayStation platform
- Develop scalable and robust services using NodeJS
- Review and address proposals from cross-team contributors to shape platform architecture
- Represent the team in technical forums and share experiences with other software development organizations
- Ensure code accuracy and completeness through unit testing and fix bugs as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years of experience in building, maintaining, and enhancing backend services
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and NodeJS
- Experience with GraphQL in a production environment
- Knowledge of various AWS cloud solutions (Redis, DynamoDB, S3, etc.)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with RESTful and/or gRPC APIs
- Familiarity with server optimizations for low latency and scalability
- Prior experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipeline solutions
- Knowledge of Server Side Rendering app technologies such as NextJS
- Previous experience working within agile development methodologies
