What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Install, configure, maintain, and perform tuning of Oracle Database systems to ensure integrity and availability
- Manage database architecture and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Troubleshoot issues to support business operations and optimize database performance
- Collaborate closely with development and IT teams to ensure efficient data storage and access
- Ensure compliance with ITIL processes and meet SLA requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of education
- Minimum of 11 years of Information Technology experience
- At least 8 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration or similar roles
- U.S. Citizenship required due to handling of controlled unclassified information (CUI)
- Extensive experience with Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, and 19c, as well as proficiency in PL/SQL programming
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud
- Knowledge of other database technologies like MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Certification in Oracle Database Administration (OCP or OCM)
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
