      ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

      As a Senior Video Producer, you will be a part of the K12 Video Team working to develop storytelling content and coordinating production for video shoots. You are a talented video creator with a strong sense of story and know how to translate the K12 brand into compelling video assets. You can pitch and develop creative ideas, manage production budgets and schedules, identify crew, run a set and direct video shoots when called upon. Strong post-production skills are essential as you will be tasked with video editing but success in this role looks like presenting strong creative concepts and effective on-set production.

      Essential Functions:

      • Creative ideation for video shoots. Responsibilities include:

        • Creating concept pitch decks and video treatments

        • Developing storyboards

        • Collaborating with the design team on graphic packages

        • Suggesting music options

      • Pre-production responsibilities include:

        • Develop production plans, budgets and timelines according to stakeholder requirements as outlined in the brief.

        • Work with the production crew on shot lists, equipment, locations and production schedules

        • Pre-interview on-screen talent to ensure they are prepared for production

      • Production responsibilities include:

        • Act as on-set director for most video productions when necessary

        • Work with cinematographer to ensure correct lighting and camera set up for each shot

        • Communicate expectations with on-screen talent and guide them through their filming experience

          • The majority of talent are untrained so the ability to create rapport, communicate with and coach are essential

        • Ensure all essential shots on the shot list are captured

        • Review footage at the end of each shoot day to ensure deliverables have been captured according to the creative vision

      • Post-Production responsibilities include:

        • Edit videos according to creative vision and ensure final delivery is on time and achieves the goals set out in the creative brief

        • Present assets for review and make necessary adjustments

        • Color correct raw footage where necessary

        • Create simple motion graphics where necessary

      • Generate ideas for future videos and campaigns

      Minimum Required Qualifications:

      • Experience: Minimum 7 years in video production. Must have hands-on experience operating camera, lighting and editing.

      • Adobe Creative Suite: Strong proficiency in Premiere Pro and basic functionality with After Effects.

      • Presentation Skills: Ability to confidently pitch creative ideas and influence decision-makers.

      • Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

      • Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for visual storytelling.

      • Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to approach creative challenges strategically and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.

      Desired Skills:

      • Warm and welcoming set demeanor is vital – we are here to serve our students and families.

      • Previous experience in a creative agency or in-house alternative strongly preferred.

      • Experience with common cinema cameras and lighting set-ups, particularly Sony cameras.

      • Strong motion graphics and/or color correction skills strongly preferred.

      • Comfort working in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.

      Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.

      We anticipate the salary range to be $54,439.25 to $75,000.00. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
