Design, develop, test, document, deploy, and support high quality business solutions on Appian platform.
Able to work on multiple projects and initiatives with different/competing timelines and demands.
Work with limited direction, usually within a complex environment, to drive delivery of solutions and meet service levels.
Coordinate with other developers and stakeholders regarding status, technical issues and creative solutions.
Comfortable working with both technical and business staff, and flexible in working on a wide variety of tasks spanning the full application development life cycle and maintenance.
Ability to evaluate & then guide business stake holders on improving product & features.
Implement best development practices for efficiency like leveraging re-use, eliminating duplicative components, efficient architectural design.
Create documentation and procedures while maintaining best practices and following Visa's methodology for development, installation, and maintenance.
Ability to work within the framework of security, privacy, compliance & risk.

Job Description
The candidate will work as part of the Appian development core team, to build and support applications, to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the technology organization. This role will participate in design, development, testing and support of Appian applications and ensure successful delivery of business capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in developing technical solutions in business process management & low code/no code area.
Essential Functions:
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) in a Computer Science or Engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of overall development experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in developing Appian SAIL based applications.
• At least 2 years of experience integrating to other systems using connected systems & web services components.
• Experience in developing Appian plugins.
• Relevant Appian certification would be preferred, not mandatory.
• Experience in Java development using Spring framework.
• Experience in building database queries and stored procedures.
• Experience with Cybersecurity principles of secure coding, component security, application security, user security, groups & permissions, web services security
• Familiarity with Appian administration like authentication setup, API setup, plugin setup, user setup
• Excellent process orientation, planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal, facilitation skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex software development issues.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a complex organization to determine business and customer needs, providing the best solution to meet those needs.
• Proactive thinking with a ‘can do’ attitude.Additional Information
