What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and execute a strategic vision for the ML Performance Optimization team to enhance innovation in autonomous driving
- Lead the design, implementation, and operation of advanced ML training and inference optimization techniques
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including ML researchers and software engineers, to define requirements and make architectural decisions
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to support their career growth
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks using profiling tools and optimization techniques
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Strong experience with training frameworks like PyTorch and efficient GPU utilization for distributed model training
- Experience with GPU-accelerated inference using frameworks such as TensorRT or Ray Serve
- Proficiency in Python and C++
- Familiarity with model compression techniques to enhance performance
- Experience using profiling tools like NVIDIA's Nsight or PyTorch's Profiler for performance optimization
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 10+ years of total experience, including 4+ years in large-scale model training or inference platforms
- Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of leading high-performing engineering teams
