What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide daily support and guidance to the Patient Access team
- Oversee staffing, coaching, accountability, and performance improvement plans
- Evaluate workload and adjust staffing to meet program needs
- Assist with benefit verification, prior authorization, and patient calls
- Serve as a point of escalation for complex customer issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of specialty pharmacy, home infusion pharmacy, and/or reimbursement experience
- Previous healthcare management experience is required
- At least 3 years of experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement guidelines
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous medical and pharmacy benefit experience
- Ability to interpret payor contract fee schedules based on NDC and HCPCS units
- Experience in handling multiple priorities within a changing environment
