      Job Description

      Temporary Administrative Assistant - The Winston Center, Carroll School of Management

      The Winston Center, a division of the Carroll School of Management, seeks a highly organized temporary Administrative Assistant to support the planning, coordination, and execution of a wide range of events and initiatives.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Provide logistical support for events, including developing timelines, coordinating menus, vendors, venues, and arranging media and technology services.
      • Manage event budgets, coordinate publicity efforts, conduct post-event evaluations, and maintain clear, proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders to anticipate and meet program needs.
      • Support day-to-day administrative tasks related to event and program operations, as needed.

      Position Details:
      Hourly rate: $23.00–$25.00, commensurate with experience
      Non-benefited, temporary position



      Requirements

      • The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
      • A strong commitment to customer service and an interest in identifying tools and strategies to improve efficiency are essential.
      • Bachelor’s degree preferred
      • Minimum of 3 years of experience in event or conference planning; experience in an academic or higher education setting strongly preferred
      • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
      • Strong customer service orientation
      • Exceptional computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Adobe applications; familiarity with databases preferred
