What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Apply critical thinking and clinical guidelines for services requiring precertification
- Collect and review clinical information from healthcare providers
- Authorize procedures/services or initiate Medical Director referrals as needed
- Maintain proficiency in navigating multiple computer systems
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Active, current, and unrestricted RN licensure in state of residence
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
- Availability to work Monday - Friday from 8 am - 5 pm with occasional weekend/holiday on-call
- Proficiency in computer skills, including navigating multiple systems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in prior authorization
- Residency in Virginia preferred
- Compact RN licensure is preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
