- GTT Canada has a customer that is launching a systems transformation and technology stack modernization initiative over the next 12+ months.
- As such, they are building a technology team to deliver this project that will include 4 full stack developers, 2 product analysts, a data developer, ux designer, and a scrum master.
- The technology modernization program is underpinned with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, Angular, MS Power BI, SQL Server and Python in an agile environment.
- The systems that are being modernized support financial loans, leasing, financing and business advisory services.
- As a UX Designer, you will be responsible for designing user-centered products and services that address the full spectrum of users' touchpoints, motivations, and needs.
- Your contributions will directly impact the user experience for both web and mobile applications.
- User-Centered Design: Design intuitive, engaging, and accessible products and services by understanding user motivations, behaviors, and needs, addressing the entire user journey.
- UX Support in Design Sprints: Provide support during design sprints by delivering low to mid-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and solutions tailored to project needs and timelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including product managers and developers, to ensure seamless implementation of designs, meeting both user and business needs, and minimizing iteration cycles.
- UI Design: Create consistent, well-crafted, and user-friendly UI designs for both web and mobile platforms that align with business objectives and user needs.
- Design Artifacts: Produce detailed wireframes, prototypes, and other design deliverables that represent current and ideal user experiences for both customer and employee-facing interfaces.
- Accessibility Compliance: Ensure designs adhere to digital accessibility standards, conduct quality assurance (QA) testing, and participate in company-wide accessibility audits to ensure compliance.
- User Research: Plan and lead user research initiatives (usability testing, interviews, surveys), analyze findings, and integrate insights into actionable design recommendations that improve user experiences.
- 8+ years of UX/UI Design Experience: Significant experience designing for both web and mobile platforms, with a robust portfolio demonstrating:
- Data entry interface designs for web and mobile applications.
- Clear communication of design decisions and rationale to product stakeholders in both written and verbal formats.
- Proficiency in Figma: Advanced skills in prototyping, collaborative workflows, and utilizing Figma for design.
- Developer Collaboration: Proven experience working closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented effectively and efficiently, including providing rapid design solutions during sprints.
- Enterprise-Level Product Design: Experience designing complex, enterprise-level products, especially within the financial sector.
- Design Systems: Familiarity with contributing to or managing a design system to maintain consistency across multiple applications.
- Accessibility Expertise: In-depth understanding of designing accessible interfaces, conducting accessibility audits, and ensuring designs meet WCAG standards.
- User Research: Strong ability to plan and conduct user research (usability testing, interviews, surveys), analyze results, and implement actionable insights to improve product design.
- Agricultural Software Experience: Familiarity with Canadian agriculture or experience designing for agricultural software solutions.
- Task Tracking & Methodology: Experience using Jira for task tracking and familiarity with Scrum or Agile methodologies, delivering designs in a fast-paced, iterative environment under tight deadlines.
