What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage outbound communications to patients for booking and coordinating primary care appointments
- Schedule or reschedule patient appointments and verify insurance information
- Address and resolve patient inquiries professionally and empathetically through various communication methods
- Use a computerized scheduling system to determine appropriate appointment durations for each patient
- Escalate complex patient issues to appropriate navigators or nursing staff as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- A minimum of a High School diploma or GED
- Experience working with patients in a healthcare or community-based setting (preferred)
- Previous customer service experience (preferred)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to cultural differences
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bilingual or multilingual skills appropriate to the patient population served (Spanish or Haitian Creole) are a big plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
- Experience using multiple advanced communication tools
