What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead strategic conversations and advance communications strategies for multiple high-profile client accounts
- Develop and oversee integrated campaigns that utilize public affairs, media, and digital tactics to achieve client goals
- Manage and mentor staff, providing strategic direction and feedback for their development and client work
- Draft high-level materials including strategy decks, communications plans, messaging, and op-eds
- Collaborate with the management team to inspire innovative and creative approaches among strategists
What is Required (Qualifications):
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience in communications, preferably in PR agencies or in-house for higher education institutions, companies, or nonprofits
- Strong news sense with experience engaging and maintaining relationships with key reporters
- Proven experience in managing media for both rapid response and long-lead stories
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage and mentor a diverse team effectively to meet objectives
