What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a liaison between providers, facilities, pharmacies, insurance plans, support staff, and patients
- Receive, triage, and respond to inbound requests via phone calls and electronic messages
- Assist with virtual care activities such as gathering and documenting medical history and medication refills
- Support provider schedule maintenance, telehealth encounter preparation, and outpatient registration
- Perform additional duties as assigned to enhance patient care
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant training program
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Completion of a Medical Assisting Diploma/Certificate or passed exam from an approved training program
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 3 years experience in a medical office setting, including experience with patient education and test result communication
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA) certification (e.g., CMA, CCMA, RMA)
