What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Teach studio art courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels
- Conduct research and creative activities across multiple media areas
- Serve the School of Art and contribute to its interdisciplinary initiatives
- Mentor students and foster a supportive learning environment
- Participate in departmental service activities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master of Fine Arts degree or equivalent terminal degree from an accredited institution
- A research record and portfolio showcasing an active practice across multiple disciplines
- At least one year of teaching experience with demonstrated classroom competency
- Strong knowledge of contemporary art, theory, and criticism
- Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Strong evidence of an active creative studio research practice with a national and/or international exhibition record
- Demonstrated experience with interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaborations
- Ability to teach at the intermediate, advanced, and/or graduate level
- Proven ability to engage students in diverse modes of making
- Commitment to mentoring students from all backgrounds
