      We are seeking a dynamic Web Development Instructor to join our team at DevMountain! As the Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping and guiding the learning experience of our students. You will work closely with a dedicated Teacher's Assistant to provide personalized feedback and support to our students as they progress through the curriculum.

      In this role, you can share your expertise and passion for web development with a motivated and enthusiastic group of learners. You will be responsible for ensuring that students understand the key concepts and skills taught in the curriculum and have the support they need to successfully complete their projects.

      Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Skillfully deliver and facilitate our dynamic course content to inspire students to reach their full potential
      • Lead engaging in-class exercises and provide hands-on guidance during project time, while fostering stimulating lecture discussions
      • Work collaboratively with a dedicated Teacher's Assistant to mentor students and ensure that they are mastering key concepts and best practices
      • Conduct regular student reviews and critiques, providing valuable feedback to support their progress and success
      • Encourage and motivate students as they navigate the challenges of learning a new skill set, empowering them to achieve their goals
      • Provide prompt and meaningful feedback to students on their progress, helping them to continuously improve their skills
      • Take ownership of our curriculum, related Github repositories, and internal software projects, constantly improving and auditing them to ensure excellence and innovation

      Job Skills (Required) :

      • A talent for creatively and effectively teaching technical topics through engaging lectures, making complex concepts accessible and stimulating for learners
      • A drive to continually learn and stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies, ready to adapt and innovate on the fly
      • A strong ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with colleagues, fostering a positive and supportive team environment
      • A willingness to give and receive constructive feedback, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment for all
      • Expertise in the latest technologies and tools related to web development, including HTML, CSS, vanilla JavaScript, Node/Express.js, PostgreSQL, and React.js

      Job Skills (Preferred, not Required):

      • Ability to create technical curriculum

      Work Experience:

      • Required: Minimum of 5 months of experience in a web development position
      • Preferred: Previous experience teaching, mentoring, instructing, or tutoring

      Education:

      • Self-taught developer, Bootcamp graduate, or equivalent degree

      Other:

      • Full-time, in-office position in our welcoming and collaborative setting, providing ample opportunity for team interaction and professional growth
      • Exceptional attendance and punctuality, recognizing the importance of these factors in creating a positive learning environment
      • A sharp and agile mind, able to quickly absorb and apply new information in a fast-paced work environment
      • The ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, effectively navigating stressful situations and keeping the needs of our students and colleagues at the forefront
      • Setup or takedown of equipment for classes
      • Partner with bootcamp operations team to ensure needed supplies for students are stocked
      • Ensure classrooms are presentable on a daily basis
      • Partner and assist SEI IT with any campus technical issues impacting instructional delivery
