      The Role

      OnePay is seeking a highly experienced accounting manager to join its world class Accounting team and help us scale for the future. In this role, you will oversee the corporate accounting functions, leveraging expertise with US GAAP and focus on maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will require a strong understanding of financial and regulatory reporting and partner cross-functionally to collaborate across departments to develop operational processes to help us scale. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of financial operations in fast-paced environments like fintech. Experience with leading automation initiatives is critical as we continue to support growth.

      This role is responsible for

      • Financial & Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and review accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements and management reports. Deliver timely and insightful financial results to senior leadership, auditors and key stakeholders.

      • Close Management: Oversee monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes for corporate areas, ensuring precision and efficiency. Manage general ledger operations and continuously enhance close cycle performance.

      • Automation & Process Improvement: Partner with Finance Systems to optimize ERP systems and integrate new automation solutions. Lead initiatives that transform manual processes into streamlined tech-enabled workflows.

      • Team Leadership: Mentor, develop and inspire a growing accounting team. Cultivate a culture of innovation, accuracy and continuous learning.

      • Compliance & Controls: Maintain a robust internal control environment aligned with SOX and external regulatory standards. Continuously assess and enhance automated controls to mitigate risks and strengthen compliance.

      • Technical Accounting: Provide expertise on complex accounting topics, including consolidations and inventory accounting. Stay current on evolving GAAP and regulatory updates relevant to fintech and high-growth companies.

      • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with finance, legal, operations, and treasury teams to align accounting policies with business goals. Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on accounting implications of strategic initiatives.

      • Audit Management: Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors. Ensure smooth audit execution by providing timely documentation and clear, well-supported explanations.

      You Bring

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA preferred.

      • 8+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.

      • Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and technical accounting standards.

      • Experience in the fintech or technology sector is highly preferred.

      • Proven experience with ERP Software (ex. NetSuite) and implementing accounting automation tools (e.g., BlackLine, FloQast, or similar) to streamline financial processes.

      • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to various stakeholders.
