What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in preparing actuarial loss reserving analyses, including estimating unpaid claims liabilities
- Support quarterly financial reporting deliverables by ensuring high data quality
- Perform data extraction, manipulation, and analysis using tools such as Excel, SQL, R, VBA, or Python
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on reserving activities
- Prepare and present findings from actuarial analyses to leadership and stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Prior internship experience in actuarial science or insurance is highly desirable
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Successful completion of at least one actuarial exam (e.g., CAS or SOA)
- Familiarity with property and casualty insurance concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, or VBA is a plus
