What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a mentor and facilitator, providing guidance and academic support for nursing students
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and engage students through various methodologies
- Participate in course and curriculum assessment activities to promote continuous improvement
- Assume responsibility for nursing students in clinical settings, clarifying expectations and providing feedback
- Maintain scholarly activities and contribute to professional growth in alignment with university policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of five (5) years of prior experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
- At least three years of experience in the nursing field related to the teaching subject
- MSN required; DNP or PhD required
- Professional nurse licensure is mandatory
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with online learning management systems to enhance student engagement
- Familiarity with state, federal, and local laws/regulations related to nursing education and compliance
