What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Register patients, schedule appointments, and update patient registration information
- Assist patients with general inquiries and respond to a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers while documenting interactions accurately
- Access and manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) to support clinical staff and process referrals
- Adhere to safety, HIPAA, and compliance policies while meeting departmental quality assurance standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Diploma from an approved institution or equivalent documented training
- 1 year of patient care experience in a medical office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain composure in challenging situations
- Basic computer skills for data entry and managing practice management systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 1 year of call center or patient access experience
- Experience using medical terminology and concepts in a healthcare setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work flexibly within a team
