- Delivers remote clinical supervision to students in the graduate nursing program
- Facilitates engaging assignments that demonstrate the real-world applications of concepts covered.
- Completes assessments, evaluations and documentation in a timely manner
- Facilitates synchronous student seminar s per course requir ements
- Demonstrates strong professional written and verbal communication skills
- Utilizes the approved university learning management ( LMS ) system for all course content and assignments, grading, and communication with students.
- Advises and assists students through scheduled office hours or scheduled appointments, by video conference, phone or email, and through other University-approved mechanisms
- Demonstrates knowledge of subject matter and an awareness of new developments in the field in order to update the approach to teaching or content
- Achieves consistently effective teaching performance as evidenced by student evaluations .
- Recognizes and addresses different learning styles in collaboration with core faculty
- Communicates with core faculty on a regular basis to track student progress or to facilitate performance improvement plan to support student learning
- Provides feedback to core faculty on student preparedness regarding core curriculum and MCPHS core competencies
- Has a working knowledge of the MCPHS SON curriculum and the level of the participating students
- Attend course-specific orientation with core faculty and the Associate Dean of Clinical and Experiential L e arning prior to starting each clinical rotation
- Participate in faculty mentoring as identified by core course faculty
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor
- A minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing degree
- Current unencumbered MA APRN license
- Current nurse practitioner national certification
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a P sychiatric N urse P ractitioner
- Commitment to graduate and/or professional education and student success
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals)
- Must be comfortable working with various forms of technology
- Typical office or administrative working conditions. Faculty is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Work is primarily sedentary in nature; there are no special physical demands.
- Work requires sitting, standing and walking as part of remote synchronous instruction.
- Must be able to use technology, such as typing and manipulating a mouse/mouse pad
- Must be comfortable with keeping camera on and recording synchronous meetings

Description
The School of Nursing seeks an adjunct c linical faculty member to deliver high quality learning experiences and education for students in the Graduate Nursing F NP program. T he Adjunct PMHNP Clinical Faculty of the School of Nursing fosters the development of nursing competency, critical thinking ability , and application of nursing knowledge to practice i n accordance with M CPHS and School of Nursing policies and national organization recommendations and standards (New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education ( C CNE), American Association of Colleges of Nursing Essentials (AACN), and National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF). The selected candidate will be responsible for the remote clinical supervision of graduate nursing students. Subject matter include s P sychiatric Mental Health Across the Lifespan .
