      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct complex legal research and analysis on tax issues under the Revenue Act
      - Draft authoritative legal documents, including administrative rules and technical advice letters
      - Provide expert legal guidance to the Department's tax divisions
      - Collaborate with the Legislative Liaison to draft legislation and provide legal analysis
      - Assist the Michigan Attorney General's Office with litigation support on tax-related cases

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
      - Membership in good standing with the Michigan State Bar
      - Administrative Law Specialist 13: No specific experience required
      - Administrative Law Specialist 14: One year of professional experience in legal work or as an attorney
      - Administrative Law Specialist 15: Two years of legal experience, with one year at the Administrative Law Specialist 14 level or as an attorney

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience analyzing, applying, and interpreting federal or state tax laws
      - Experience in litigating or providing litigation support
      - Experience drafting legislation or regulations
      - Knowledge of various tax laws, including Individual Income Tax and Corporate Income Tax
      - Certification as a public accountant or an accounting degree
