What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct research on developing advanced remote sensing data fusion and analytics methods
- Supervise undergraduate students' research and oversee day-to-day project activities
- Prepare monthly and annual reports for funding agencies
- Integrate models with onboard hardware and evaluate inference performance in field conditions
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at technical conferences
What is Required (Qualifications):
- PhD degree in Geography (remote sensing, photogrammetry, GeoAI), Earth Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
- Strong publication record and proven ability to conduct research projects
- Familiarity with high-level satellite image processing and photogrammetric techniques
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a scientific team
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with mainstream deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Experience with photogrammetric and visualization tools (e.g., Agisoft Metashape or Blender)
- Proven abilities in object detection, feature matching, and deep learning
