What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
- Provide opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department
- Prepare and manage pleadings, motions, and discovery processes, including depositions and examinations
- Defend assigned matters through trial or dispositive hearings
- Ensure clear and concise documentation of files for understanding by clients and colleagues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2 to 6+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense and/or personal injury
- Juris Doctor degree REQUIRED
- Admission to the New York Bar REQUIRED
- Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in New York and fulfill mandatory Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements
- Ability to travel as needed for trials, hearings, and conferences

- Strong communication skills in person, over the phone, and in written correspondence
