- Review new auto liability claims to determine coverage, liability, and potential exposure.
- Conduct detailed investigations, including recorded statements, scene analysis, and review of police reports, medical records, and other supporting documentation.
- Evaluate damages, injury severity, and comparative fault to determine appropriate claim resolution strategies.
- Negotiate settlements directly with claimants, insureds, attorneys, and other involved parties while staying within authority limits.
- Identify subrogation and recovery opportunities and coordinate with the appropriate teams to pursue reimbursement.
- Maintain accurate and timely reserving practices based on investigation findings.
- Ensure all claims are handled in compliance with state regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Maintain thorough and concise claim file documentation to reflect claim activity, decision rationale, and settlement outcomes.
- Prepare written correspondence, coverage letters, and reports as needed.
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and proactively with all parties involved in the claim.
- 2+ years of experience adjusting auto liability claims.
- Strong knowledge of auto liability principles, comparative negligence, and state-specific regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
- Proficiency in claims management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Applicable home state adjuster's license(s).
- Multi-state claims handling experience.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus.

JOB SUMMARY:
DMA Claims, part of the Venbrook Claims family, is seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Liability Adjuster to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving auto liability claims in a fair, timely, and efficient manner. You will interact directly with claimants, insureds, attorneys, and internal stakeholders to ensure claims are handled with accuracy, empathy, and professionalism. This position requires strong analytical ability, sound judgment, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will play a critical role in maintaining DMA's reputation for delivering best-in-class claims handling services.
