What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide efficient account receivable services to maximize reimbursement for member clients
- Accurately process billing for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance claims
- Monitor accounts receivables, check claim status, and resubmit overdue claims
- Maintain accurate billing records and respond to inquiries regarding account balances
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients, payers, and team members
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role; 2 years preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; some higher education preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing processes
- EPIC experience preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) or Rural Health Clinics (RHC)
- Understanding of legal requirements related to billing and reimbursement processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently from a home office
