What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare the annual budget and reforecast budget projections in coordination with various departments
- Collaborate with the Grants Management division on proposal budgets and ensure compliance with financial policies
- Monitor allowable expenses and set spending parameters according to agreements
- Produce monthly financial statements and conduct related analyses
- Assist in the annual financial statement audit and ensure procurement guidelines are followed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, or 6+ years of relevant experience in a nonprofit organization
- Familiarity with grant accounting, federal awards, and nonprofit accounting standards
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Office365, SharePoint, Teams, and advanced Excel functions
- Ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment and manage competing deadlines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Extensive experience with federal grant budget management
- Prior experience using accounting systems such as Sage Intacct and Martus Solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
