What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop BI solutions including reports, dashboards, and scheduled reports based on business requirements
- Conduct discovery sessions to gather and document detailed requirements from various stakeholders
- Provide production support and address requests for enhancements or fixes to existing reports
- Serve as a clinical BI content expert for cross-department projects and mentor junior staff
- Recommend improvements to data models and enhance existing processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field with four years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor’s degree with six years of experience; OR Associate’s degree with seven years of experience; OR eight years of relevant experience
- Four years of paid work experience as a BI Developer or equivalent classification
- Proficiency in relational databases and experience developing semantic layers for data preparation
- Strong understanding of SQL code and ability to read and explain data models
- Proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Four or more years of experience with Epic applications and/or the Epic Clarity environment
- Six or more years of experience with SQL coding and tuning
- Epic Clarity Certification and related Epic certifications
- Experience interpreting execution plans
- Demonstrated ability to manage small projects
