What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure Chargemaster compliance with coding and billing regulations and accurately represent services provided
- Act as a liaison between the hospital ministry and the Revenue Integrity/Chargemaster department
- Respond to inquiries regarding Chargemaster issues and train hospital staff on CDM maintenance processes
- Coordinate daily CDM maintenance workflow and monitor alignment with standard practices
- Review clinical department charges to ensure compliance with coding standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in hospital chargemaster, including knowledge of inpatient and outpatient billing requirements
- 3 years of experience with hospital charging practices
- 2 years of experience working with EMR related to Chargemaster, preferably EPIC
- Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding principles
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 1-2 years of operational performance improvement and/or project management experience
- 1-2 years of coding experience
- Driving may be necessary as part of this role; must comply with state laws regarding driving
