      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct scheduled facility and professional audits to ensure compliance with medical record documentation and billing standards
      - Perform audits resulting from unplanned investigations and provide feedback to peers
      - Lead compliance education initiatives for facility and professional billing, including auditing and coding
      - Develop and implement corrective action plans based on root cause analysis of compliance issues
      - Prepare responses to governmental audits and manage the appeals process

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Associate's Degree in a related field of study
      - Minimum of 7 years of related work experience
      - One of the following coding or auditing certifications: CCS, CPC, RHIA, RHIT, or CPMA
      - Strong communication and critical thinking skills
      - Experience in medical billing and coding, as well as training and education

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Additional certifications in healthcare compliance or auditing
      - Experience conducting audits in a healthcare setting
      - Proven ability to lead and mentor junior compliance staff
      - Familiarity with federal payor billing compliance regulations
      - Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action planning
