What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the lead contracts specialist for assigned projects throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop, prepare, review, and administer agreements compliant with policies, regulations, and statutes
- Participate in contract negotiations and troubleshoot contractual issues
- Maintain accurate and thorough contract records to ensure compliance with requirements
- Act as a primary liaison between the organization and performers/customers for assigned workload
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration
- Minimum of 3 years of Department of Defense contracting experience
- Direct experience in contract execution, procurement, or acquisition for defense-centric contracting
- Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Direct experience with 10 U.S.C. 4022 (Other Transactions for Prototyping) or 10 U.S.C. 4021 (Research Projects)
- NCMA (e.g., CPCM) or DAWIA certification in Contracting
- Familiarity with Navy programs
- Knowledge of FAR Source Selection Processes
- Secret-level security clearance or ability to obtain one
