      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Manage the contract portfolio of departments and schools, including the review and negotiation of various types of research agreements
      - Advise faculty and staff on contractual relationships or negotiations that may arise
      - Review and interpret contract and agency guidelines to safeguard university interests
      - Ensure high-level service support to principal investigators and administrators while evaluating transaction risks
      - Maintain electronic records and provide strategic data reports to senior administration as needed

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - J.D. - Juris Doctor degree
      - Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in contract negotiation or research administration
      - Ability to independently plan and prioritize work involving complex problems and decisions
      - Exceptional written and oral communication skills
      - Strong judgment and analytical skills to address unusual contractual circumstances

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - 2 years of experience specifically in research administration or contract negotiation
      - Detail-oriented with strong diplomacy and negotiation skills
      - Experience drafting agreements and managing employee relationships
      - Familiarity with policies and procedures related to research contracts
      - Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
