What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze data from various cyber defense tools to mitigate threats and enhance network security
- Document and escalate security incidents, providing detailed reports on their history and potential impact
- Conduct event correlation and cyber defense trend analysis to improve situational awareness
- Monitor and analyze system activity for potential malicious activities and provide timely alerts
- Reconstruct malicious attacks using network traffic to understand vulnerabilities and exploitation methods
What is Required (Qualifications):
- PhD in a technical field with limited experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of related experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience, or an Associate's degree with 10+ years of related experience
- Active or very recently active DOE "Q" Clearance or DOD "Top Secret" Clearance
- U.S. citizenship due to the federal nature of the work

- Familiarity with network traffic analysis and incident response protocols
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a cybersecurity context
