What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain software and DB2 environments in compliance with STIG and/or SRG standards.
- Provide technical services and support for database software on DISA mainframe systems.
- Install, customize, upgrade, and maintain DB2 Software on z/OS mainframe platforms.
- Ensure adherence to departmental SOPs and maintain accurate documentation.
- Utilize SMP/E for software installation and maintenance on the IBM Mainframe platform.
What is Required (Qualifications):
- IAT Level 1 certification required, with options including A+ CE, CCNA Security, Network+ CE, or SSCP.
- Clearance required: Secret.
- Proven experience in maintaining software and database environments.
- Strong understanding of database migrations and application upgrades.
- Ability to follow documented procedures and manage technical documentation.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with IBM Mainframe platforms and z/OS environments.
- Familiarity with security software patching and compliance requirements.
- Previous experience in a federal, state, or tribal government IT setting.
- Knowledge of database management best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and customer service orientation.
