What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Alliance’s financial records through efficient and prompt monthly and annual closing processes
- Coordinate successful annual external audits of the Alliance’s financial statements and retirement plan
- Lead the hiring, training, and development of the Finance staff
- Develop and maintain a system of financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure proper disbursement of expenses and receipt of income
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless flow of financial information
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 7-10 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the non-profit sector
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and IRS regulations for non-profit organizations
- Experience overseeing all accounting and finance functions
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- CPA certification
- Experience in financial planning and budgeting in diverse organizational settings
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in G-Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
