What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Attend up to six virtual training days in February and March 2026 to prepare for data collection responsibilities.
- Conduct direct child assessments and observations during the spring data collection period (March-May 2026).
- Communicate with the employer's project manager and teachers to schedule data collection activities.
- Enter data into a web-based database.
- Travel in-person to elementary school sites and conduct assessments 1:1 with students.
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
- Prior experience working with children (e.g., as a teacher or assistant teacher in an elementary school, conducting assessments with children, working in after-school programs).
- Must have access to a car or reliable transportation to drive to participating schools.
- Must have access to a personal computer/digital device and reliable internet.
- Must be available for onsite work in Union County, NC, Monday through Friday, 8 am-1 pm, at least three (3) days a week, from March through May 2026.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Some undergraduate coursework in psychology, education, social work, or early childhood.
- Experience with research (conducting observations, assessments).
- Proficiency or fluency in Spanish.
