      Job Description:

      We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Equity Professional (CEP) Level 3 to serve as the subject matter expert for equity compensation and management within our technology organization. This role will act as the critical link between Product Management and Software Engineering, ensuring that product requirements accurately reflect the complexities of equity plans, compliance, and reporting standards.

      The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in equity compensation with strong analytical and communication skills, enabling them to translate business needs into precise technical requirements. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to influence the design and development of cutting-edge equity management solutions.

      Responsibilities
      • Serve as the equity domain expert for engineering and product teams, ensuring accurate representation of equity compensation concepts in system design.
      • Collaborate with Product Managers to define functional requirements for equity management features, including grant administration, vesting schedules, tax compliance, and reporting.
      • Translate complex equity plan rules and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable specifications for software development.
      • Validate technical designs and workflows to ensure compliance with accounting standards (ASC 718), tax regulations, and global equity plan requirements.
      • Partner with QA teams to develop test cases that accurately reflect equity scenarios and edge cases.
      • Act as a liaison during sprint planning and backlog grooming, ensuring equity-related features are prioritized and implemented correctly.
      • Provide guidance on data structures, integration points, and reporting needs related to equity plans.
      • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to advise on product roadmap adjustments.
      • Conduct training sessions for engineering and product teams on equity concepts and compliance requirements.

      Qualifications

      • Certified Equity Professional (CEP) Level 3 required.
      • 5+ years of experience in equity compensation administration or consulting.
      • Strong knowledge of global equity plan structures, tax compliance, and accounting standards (ASC 718).
      • Experience working with software development teams or technology platforms related to equity management.
      • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Ability to create detailed functional specifications and acceptance criteria.
      • Bonus: Experience with data modeling, APIs, or SaaS platforms in the equity domain.


      Preferred Technical Skills
      • SQL - Ability to write queries for data validation and reporting.
      • Data Modeling - Understanding of relational database design and equity-related data structures.
      • API Familiarity - Knowledge of RESTful APIs for integration with external systems.
      • BI Tools - Experience with reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
      • SaaS Platforms - Exposure to equity management software (e.g., Shareworks, Carta, Certent).
      • Basic Programming Knowledge - Familiarity with scripting languages (Python or similar) for data analysis or automation.
      • Version Control - Understanding of Git-based workflows for collaboration with engineering teams.


      The salary range in United States of America for this position is 99,000.00 to 124,000.00 USD Annual.

      Your specific offer within this range will be determined by your skills, experience, and qualifications. For non-sales roles, you may be eligible for a bonus. For sales roles, this range includes a commission target.
