VACANCY: The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a Nurse position for Summer Early Childhood Assessment Teams.
Orientation: June 1, 2026
Date: June 2, 2026 – June 30, 2026 *No classes on June 19th, 2026
Staff Hours: 8:30am-2:30pm
Location: Dr. James Mitchem Early Childhood Center
JOB SUMMARY: The Assessment team is responsible to the Special Education Assistant Director for oversight. Staff must be willing to work on a Transdisciplinary Team in which roles and responsibilities are shared. Staff must be knowledgeable and have the skills to assess and determine eligibility for special education services of preschool age students using a play-based model. Reports for each child must be completed on the district database.
QUALIFICATIONS: Staff must hold an Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator Licensure for the position filled and have experience working with play-based assessment.
WORKING CONDITIONS: The salary will be $40.00 per hour. Applicants must work the entire summer session. No vacation times or subs are acceptable.
