      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Manage unit financial and accounting operations, including cost allocation plans and compliance with federal regulations
      - Perform accounting activities related to accounts payable and receivable systems for Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) preparation
      - Analyze reports and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts to ensure accurate accounting records
      - Review and process financial documents, including Inter Agency Payments (IAP) and expenditure moves
      - Reconcile cash log totals with the Cash Receipt Journal daily and prepare necessary documentation for upload into the financial system

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree with 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting and three years of relevant professional experience
      - OR a combination of education and experience totaling seven years
      - Ability to pass an Unemployment Insurance (UI) and Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML) claim and fraud check
      - Strong analytical and organizational skills in financial management
      - Proficiency in applying accounting principles and state regulations

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in government accounting and grant management
      - Familiarity with financial policies and procedures issued by the Office of Financial Management (OFM)
      - Proven track record of proactive problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
      - Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders
      - Commitment to public service and continuous improvement of financial processes
