- TheCollege provides $120,000 of coverage (portion is subject to taxation), no payroll deductions
- 70% of wages provided for Short-Term and Long-Term Disability

Summary of Purpose
This position provides financial analysis and management of grants in accordance with institutional, governmental, and agency guidelines to ensure fiscal compliance. This role also supports annual operating budget activities as needed. This employee is expected to work in a multi-cultural, diverse working environment.
Typical Duties
This description is intended to indicate the types of duties and responsibilities requested of the employee assigned this title. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the duties and responsibilities that may be required:
• Review grant and contract applications as assigned by the B&FP/GF Manager.
• Collaborate with the Budget and Financial Planning/Grant Fiscal Manager (B&FP/GF
Manager), Workforce Development Director of Grants, and grant leads to establish
proposed budgets and manage awarded grants.
• Monitor grant expenditures to ensure compliance with College policies, grantor
guidelines, agency regulations, and Uniform Guidance (if applicable).
• Prepare general ledgers entries as needed.
• Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual grant financial reporting.
• Support sub-award monitoring, including site visits.
• Assist with grant closeouts and ensure fulfillment of reporting requirements.
• Assist the B&FP Manager and the Director of Budget & Financial Planning with
gathering information for both internal and external Audits and responding to auditor
inquiries.
• Assist the Budget and Financial Planning Managers & the Director of Budget and
Financial Planning with the annual operating budget development process as needed.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills Required
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Familiarity with Uniform Guidance and grant-related audit and reporting standards.
• Ability to interpret and manage grant budgets and funding requirements.
• Proficient in analyzing financial data and resolving accounting issues.
• Experience preparing financial statements and reports.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Proactive in anticipating and responding to the financial information needs of
stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to quickly learn new software and
technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work effectively across departments and with diverse teams.
Minimum Education and Experience
EDUCATION: An earned Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
-AND-
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of four (4) years of grant accounting experience with a working knowledge of federal, state and local laws, regulations, and policies related to grant administration. Experience in higher education required. Experience with Ellucian Colleague a plus.
