What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in managing pre- and post-award activities for assigned principal investigators (PIs)
- Identify and report noncompliance with sponsor guidelines and update necessary documentation
- Participate in the creation of proposals and coordination with internal staff for pre-award activities
- Review expenses for compliance and prepare projects for close-out during post-award activities
- Compile statistical, financial, or accounting data as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant grant or contract management experience
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word and Excel, including formula creation and error recognition
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent time management skills
- Solid communication skills to effectively explain status and concerns to stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a research administration role within a higher education or healthcare setting
- Familiarity with federal grant regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines effectively
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial management in a grant context
