What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform HCC coding for Medicare Advantage, ACA, and End Stage Renal Disease projects, adhering to CMS guidelines
- Assist with regulatory audits by conducting initial coding reviews and ranking charts
- Collaborate with coding teams and internal partners to ensure high-quality coding
- Participate in ad-hoc projects to enhance departmental needs and efficiencies
- Engage in educational initiatives related to RPM coding
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HCC coding and/or coding and billing
- Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Risk Coder (CRC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong critical thinking and attention to detail skills
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate degree in medical billing/coding, health insurance, healthcare, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in HCC coding and/or coding and billing
