What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide hands-on expertise and resources to integrate new pharmacy services at partnership hospitals
- Develop and maintain relationships with on-site providers and pharmacy staff to ensure exceptional care
- Identify and address workflow inefficiencies to promote operational efficiencies
- Train and support new staff, including Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Liaisons, to ensure consistent service delivery
- Communicate with hospital clinicians and management to support ongoing initiatives and monitor documentation for billing purposes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required; AA or BA preferred
- Must be registered and in good standing with any State Board of Pharmacy
- Current active National Certification verified by PTCB
- 4-5 years of pharmacy experience; pharmacy leadership experience preferred
- Valid driver's license with current auto insurance and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of transplant, hepatitis C, infectious diseases (including HIV), oncology, and/or other specialty medication therapies
- Bilingual or multi-lingual skills appropriate to the patient population served
- Experience with submission of prior authorization requests to third-party payors
- Familiarity with the 340B drug program and ACO hospital models
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
