What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the negotiation and development of complex IT contracts, intergovernmental agreements, and grant agreements
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and agency policies in all IT contracts
- Advise and guide staff on procurement methods and contract rules
- Develop comprehensive solicitation documents and evaluation criteria
- Assist in identifying and mitigating risks in contracts and agreements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Five years of procurement and contract experience related to the position or a bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability
- High attention to detail in contract and solicitation compliance
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in complex IT contract and solicitation planning within the Public or Private Sector
- Knowledge of Oregon IT procurement practices
- Ability to mentor and lead discussions with staff on procurement oversight
