What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee and manage technical IT projects, ensuring goals and objectives are met within prescribed time frames
- Collaborate with customers, IT stakeholders, and vendors to define project scope and develop project plans
- Schedule and facilitate project status meetings to keep stakeholders informed on project progress
- Identify and resolve project issues and risks, escalating when necessary to leadership
- Mentor junior project managers and contribute to continuous improvement activities in project management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in project management, IT, engineering, or business
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required or ability to obtain within 6 months
- 7-10 years of experience in project management, including software/system project experience
- Proven success in managing multiple vendors in a highly matrixed environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with tools used for project management (e.g., MS Project, Planview, ServiceNow PPM, Clarity, Jira)
- Business process flow analysis experience
- Healthcare project management experience (e.g., hospital, health insurance, pharmacy)
- Prior supervisory experience is a plus
- Master’s degree preferred
