What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design and lead mixed-methods research studies, including live and remote usability testing
- Manage a small team of design researchers, providing mentorship and strategic guidance
- Develop and execute a shared research roadmap aligned with business priorities
- Communicate research findings through high-impact presentations and visual storytelling
- Partner with internal and external teams to integrate research with analytics and market data
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring design researchers
- Mastery of generative and evaluative research methods
- Strong collaboration skills with experience influencing cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple projects
- Exceptional strategic thinking and storytelling abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in automotive design or related fields
- Familiarity with research workflows, governance, and standards in a corporate setting
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human-Computer Interaction, Design Research)
- Proven track record of translating research insights into product or business strategies
- Experience in presenting research findings to senior stakeholders
