What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare correspondence, reports, briefs, motions, pleadings, and other legal documents required by the attorney
- Create and edit court documents in compliance with New Jersey Workers Compensation and State Court requirements
- Maintain the attorney's calendar and schedule depositions with relevant parties
- Assist attorneys in trial or discovery preparation as needed
- Review mail, document production, and maintain electronic legal files
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a law office or corporate law department
- Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills
- Knowledge of New Jersey courts and experience with Insurance defense preferred
- Proficiency with case management software and strong familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
- Experience in a high-volume litigation environment, particularly in document production and discovery preparation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Workers Compensation and Tort experience, especially in Auto, Personal Injury, and General Liability
- Trial support experience, both virtual and in-person
- Demonstrated capacity to work with NJ State, Federal court systems, and Arbitration Forum systems
