What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist loan originators and applicants with mortgage credit applications, including gathering necessary documentation and preparing loan files
- Conduct prequalifications for mortgage loans by analyzing supporting documentation and estimating credit-worthiness
- Offer and negotiate rates and terms of mortgage loans, clearly presenting options to consumers
- Maintain confidentiality of mortgage loan information to protect the company's image
- Ensure compliance with State/Federal regulations throughout the loan process
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to effectively interview applicants and respond to questions regarding the home loan process
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate applicants' financial status and property evaluations
- Proficient in explaining various loan types and credit options available to customers
- Experience in obtaining and compiling loan applicants' financial histories and related information
- Knowledge of Conventional, FHA, and VA guidelines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with Loan Origination Software (LOS) and Microsoft products
- Previous experience in the mortgage or financial services industry
